Connecticut's complex geological past created numerous environs that permitted over three hundred thirty different minerals to be formed within its rocks. Many of these minerals will fluoresce when exposed to ultraviolet radiation.

This book is the first comprehensive review of the fluorescent minerals of Connecticut. It expands upon the earlier work of eminent mineralogist and author, Bob Jones. Not only is this volume complete with information about Connecticut’s rich fluorescent mineralogy, it is thoroughly illustrated with color images taken by the author.

This is the first and only full color, comprehensive study of the fluorescent minerals of Connecticut. John Pawloski invested 10 years visiting every occurrence and collecting specimens for this book. With permission and encouragement from the well-known educator and author, Bob Jones, John used Bob's Master's thesis and considerably enhanced its content and scope.
